OVERVIEW
Bay Area artist, Wayne Thiebaud is known for his unique paintings often characterized with well-defined shadows creating a chromatic intensity and halo-like effect around the subjects of cakes, California landscapes, and even clowns. To highlight Thiebaud’s artwork, a brochure was developed to feature his notable works and the meaning behind Thiebaud as an artist.SKILLS

Learning the Grid
This brochure went through a series of changes as it was my first time approaching type and image. On top of this was another challenge of figuring out the roll fold, each time the roll unfolds, the whole spread needs to be cohesive as well as when it is entirely unfolded. After a few iterations of experimenting with the grid and flowlines, I was able to come to a solution that was successful.
